These gates look sort of like the ones they had at high school. One side had horizontal grates, the other side had vertical grates. I was so rail-thin in high school I could slip through the grates to get to my locker or cause all sorts of assorted mayhem. But I was one of the good kids, so I never did anything. Well, at least, that's what they thought. I suppose that's why I got into the habit of dressing very conventionally. It allows me to get away with a lot of additional shit. Look, he's "normal". Maybe if I hadn't eaten so many of these stupid FRUIT JELLIES I could still slink through those gates. But I think they switched them for just big metal plates years later.
