From The Great Race where Jack Lemmon tells the guy from Columbo (Peter Falk) to press a button that will sabotage the other race contestants by launching some sinister device, yet somehow ends up backfiring on them. Can be used to instruct anyone to press a button (elevator, vending machine, electroshocker, etc.), but especially during a time when unpredictable results will inevitably ensue (ex-girlfriend’s doorbell, potato cannon, etc.).
