From the commercial for the super-sugary cereal Cookie Crisp. When some wizard mascot for the cereal fills the kids’ bowl with small chocolate-chip cookies, they say in an astonished tone “Cookies, for breakfast?” “Cookies” can be substituted with any of a number of adult fare: “Bourbon, for breakfast?”, “Deep-seated depression, for breakfast?” etc. One of an army of memorable breakfast cereal macros.
