You would think there isn't that much to pruning. You cut off some branches here
and there, you take a drink, you cut off some more branches, you take a drink.
At least that's how it was done when I worked as a tree chipper.
But there's an insane WORLD OF PRUNING here that I was never aware of.

Laterals that develop on new scaffold branches usually grow out at
undesirably narrow angles. Remove such laterals and select new ones from buds the
following year. They will produce wider-angled, stronger crotches.
I am definitely going to remove those laterals and select new ones! I mean who
doesn't want STRONG CROTCHES.
Of course Max gave me this book. She knew. She knew about the strong crotches.
