Ricky’s mom (pre-blowup) originally tried to help French exchange student Monique speak the very difficult English word “Christmas”: “That’s a Christmas present. Do you have Christmas in France? Chriiiiiiiistmas. Chriiiistmas.” while grabbing her cheeks and pushing inward. This was then used as a callback by Lane, even though by that time he had discovered that Monique knew English.
