The new Wallace & Gromit film is splendid, and just before that there’s a short called “The Christmas Caper” which involves four penguins (that apparently appeared in a film called Madagascar which I know nothing about). It’s important to show up early for the short, because one of the penguins licks a candy cane in slow motion. This was a tactical lick, very germane to moving the plot along.
